Celestron 130 Slt

I am starting my astronomy classes and share of the things necessitated for an astronomy class is a telescope. Actually, my teacher is not making it compulsory for us to own one, but I genuinely would like to have the best and original class experience when there is a need for us to study a peculiar planet or any other celestial object for that matter. I tried asking my friends what would be the best telescope for a starter like me. I likewise included in my inquiries that the telescope must likewise be capable to give the best experience I like to have I even had to scrutinize reviews in the internet because I want to buy a telescope that only gives me the quality I is worthy of but having it for a reasonable price would be an added bonus.

Most of the answers I got included from my friends and from the internet were that I will have to buy a “go-to” or “none go-to scope”. The go-to scopes means that the telescope is computerized and you may just enter the planet or any other celestial object into it is system and it locates it for you. The “none go-to” telescopes are the other way around, meaning you have to look for the planet or celestial object manually.

For beginners like me, I without delay searched the internet for the best beginner scope and I found out that the Celestron Nexstar 130 is perfective campaigner for me. From Celestron Nexstar 130 SLT reviews I have found out that it has awful features for a low price. I also find it is design to be very eye-catching.

I am not disappointed when I purchased my own Celestron Nexstar 130 because it has aided me in giving a very elaborated description of each assignment given by my professor.

Some of the features that I enjoyed while using the Celestron Nexstar 130 SLT are:

1. It has a 2-inch eyepiece which compatible it is free 9mm and 25mm eyepieces, plus it has a wide view.

2. Its 130 mm reflector has given me high quality images.

3. Its light gathering power could even reach up to 30%; meaning it may gather light while watching different from any other design.

4. Mounting it is very easy because there is no need for tool set up; you may just quickly release the fork arm mount, optical tube and accessory tray.

5. Its tripod is durable, plus it is stainless.

6. You likewise get a CD which has the manuals, what you will be seeing through the telescope and you may also print out maps from it.

7. With a touch of a button, I may open an object catalogue and change the slew speed. It may even give me selective information regarding an object or it may plainly tell me if the object I want to view may be seen by the naked eye in the sky. Its Astronomy software inside a CD-ROM called “The Sky” has helped me learn more when it comes to the sky.

8. I may connect it to my computer using NExRemote telescope control software, and the software in the telescope is upgradeable.

9. There is an auxiliary port for accessaries like GPS.

10. The best percentage is that, it has a Computerized Altazimuth mount which allows you effortlessly locate around 4,000 celestial objects which includes galaxies and stars!

On the other hand, as much as I like it is a heap of masters in performance, it has cons too; Examples of which are it is battery and sensitivity. The telescope’s battery has a short life span, thence you have to constantly buy batteries each time you use it. Also, it is very sensible to vibration.

The Celestron Nexstar 130 telescope is also good for family use. My family tried it once. We went camping one vacation and I was capable to fetch my telescope with me because it is also portable. My dad and mother were even impressed by the sharp images they were capable to see and the ease of use of the telescope when we were star gazing that night.

So, for those persons starting out in astronomy and looking for a telescope to begin their astronomical journey, I commend you buy the Celestron Nexstar 130 telescope.

The Celestron® NexStar® SLT Series 130 SLT reflector telescope showcases a computerized hand control and a 4000+ object database. With a touch of a button you may select the object catalog, change the slew speed, view arousing and attention holding data in regards to an oject, or merely know if a desired object is visible in the sky. It comes equipped with a sturdy steel tripod, a StarPointer® finderscope, software, and more.

Celestron’s computerized NexStar 130 SLT adds lowcost “Go-To” engineering to a compact Newtonian reflector telescope. By using mirrors rather of lenses, the Newtonian optics of the NexStar 130 SLT formulate an effigy almost five times more magnificent than the NexStar 60 SLT refractor telescope. The package includes everything except the batteries, and features easy no-tool setup, two good eyepieces, and even includes a student version of “The Sky” planetarium software.

The Newtonian design of the NexStar 130 SLT is optimized to construct bright images over a wide field of view. When I use an optional 32mm Plossl eyepiece, the famous Double Cluster in Perseus looks like a display of celestial fireworks with streamers of stars trailing all over the 2 degree field of view. The ordinary instrumentation 25mm eyepiece magnifies the effigy regarding 26 times, with a wide field of view just right for observing deep space objects like star clusters or the Orion Nebula.

I had no trouble fine tuning the optical alignment, and I was rewarded with sharp views of Lunar craters even when I pushed the exposure up to the theoretical limit of 300x. The other drawback of a computerized telescope, of course, is battery consumption. An optional PowerTank battery is a handy way to power the NexStar 130 SLT, and I like to keep the tripod legs short and detect while seated because this gives me a solid and comfortable view. –Jeff Phillips

Details

The popularity of our NexStar 114 models inspired us to go bigger! We are proud to introduce NexStar 130 SLT. The NexStar 130 SLT has 30% more light-gathering power than our 114mm telescope.

And the 130 SLT, like the other models in the SLT Series, comes with a completely computerized hand control. The computerized hand control gives you the capacity to mechanically slew to any of it is 4,000+ objects, including over 600 galaxies, 300 clusters and dozens of gorgeous binary stars. With it is pre-assembled, adaptable steel tripod, the NexStar 114 SLT may be up and ready to use in a matter of minutes. Our new SkyAlign alignment engineering science and the included StarPointer Finderscope with a red LED makes aligning a breeze.

View the details of the lunar surface, the rings of Saturn, the polar ice caps on Mars, the cloud belts on Jupiter or a number of the Messier objects such as the globular cluster in Hercules (M13), or the Great Nebula in Orion (M42). Begin to explore some of the fainter Messier objects using the further and added light-gathering capablenesses of the 130 SLT’s 5″ crucial mirror.

Because of the Newtonian design, the mirror gives completely color-corrected views that are best suitable for astronomical use.
